The team will engage with officials from Uganda’s ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) Party, to discuss areas of mutual interest between the two parties and their respective countries.

As part of their visit, the delegation will also tour the NRM Leadership Academy, which will serve as a model for a similar institution UDA plans to establish in Kenya.

According to Uganda’s Nile Post, NRM Secretary-General Richard Todwong revealed that the delegation will also attend the NRA/UPDF anniversary celebrations, marking the founding of Uganda’s national army and the country’s liberation.

Maj. Awich Pollar, an NRM official, highlighted the close ties between the two ruling parties.

“The two political parties share similar missions of transforming the lives of the population and championing East Africa’s political federation,” said Pollar.
