A Community Based Organisation has been engaging elderly persons in the fight against triple threat in Homa Bay sub-county.

Triple threat is a term used in reference to teenage pregnancies, HIV and AIDS infection, and Sexual and gender-based violence.

The Reproductive Health Initiative CBO engages the Nyada Ralek Elders Society in the campaign against the vice.

Under the initiative, elders are tasked with the role of talking to young people and adults on promotion of social values with the aim of preventing triple threat.

Their main aim is to reduce teenage pregnancies which ruin the lives of many girls.

The CBO’s programmes officer Dina Odoyo says the new approach will enable them win.
