Migori County Assembly has passed a Sh11.77 billion supplementary budget.
The health department got the lion's share after scooping Sh2.4 billion in the supplementary budget 2025/2026 that was endorsed by Member of County Assembly (MCAs).
Migori County has proposed to fund its budget to the tune of Sh11.77 billion to meet its recurrent (7.4 billion) and development (4.4 billion) budget programs.
Migori residents expressed their delight in the huge chunks allocated to the health sector as they anticipate improved health services.
"The move is good, and we now hope that health services will be improved within the county. We expect to find medicine and receive other essential services when we visit the health facilities," said David Oketch, a resident in Migori town.
